Week 9 - Rebels vs Rattlers

The 2-4 Rattlers are coming to visit the Undefeated Rebels this Saturday at 6:00pm.  The Rebel Dark Side will be going for their 5th shutout of the year.  With the league's deadliest linebacking corps it is surely possible.  John "Softie since he got married" Wagner, Josh "Mayor" Bardon, David "Try to block me" Benton, Nick "Fettuccine" Bainter, Dusty "I'm from Kewaunee too" Vlies and Santino "I'm a big giant beast" Laster will all see time during the game and the defense loses nothing with whoever is in.  All men are intelligent, all are hard hitting and all would probably start on any other team in the league.  Its no wonder why the Rebels' defense is the cream of the crop for the WSFL.

Come out and support the Rebels this Saturday and buy them more drinks afterwards.

Rebels Shake and Bake to (Now) 6-0

The Rebels came ready to play and dominated a starved for players Renegade team 51-0.  Highlights for the game included the return of Courtney Gatlin, a Keith Woodson pick 6, Paul Widder searching for someone to hit on the way to the endzone (and finding nobody), Marcus Ninneman not falling down after a catch and the first career touchdown by Eric "Snookie" Cullen on a reverse.  Tyler Hau might have done something too.

The Rebels have outscored their opponents 274 to 29 this season.  274 to 29.  274 to 29.

Week 8 - Renegades at Rebels

Oh momma they're in fear for their lives from the long arm of Santino Laster.  Laster has put an end to their running and they're so far from their home.  Oh momma I can hear them a cryin' they're so scared and all alone.  Hartman is comin' down from the gallows and they don't have very long.  The jig is up, the news is out the Rebels are coming.  The Renegades who had it made will be retrieved for a bounty!  (Tommy Shaw eat your heart out!)

That bounty is the Rebels' quest to become WSFL Champions of the World!  The Dark Side is jacked up and ready to go.  If it wasn't for his wife, Sarah, John Wagner would have run through a brick wall by now.  Thank the good Lord that she is bringing out his softer side.  The Rebel offense is also ready to go.  Marcus Ninneman is ready to break out again and show the league why he is its best.

The Rebels (6-0) will be back in action after their bye week against the Milwaukee County Renegades (1-3).  Come out and support them and then buy them drinks after the game (Olinemen first)!

Week 6 - Rebels vs Bulldogs

Pro wrestling had the Bushwackers, the Rebels have da Yoopers.  It was said that the Bushwackers were destructive, they could exert a lot of force and pressure on their opponents, they are unorthodox and they do the unexpected.  This statement perfectly illustrates the fellows from da UP (ask anyone who goes out on the town with these guys).  Jarred Querio, Jared Martin and Ron Mullins are da yoopers on the team.  All three are rookies, all three are dangerous and all three are crazy.  The Rebels have gotten a ton out of these three so far this year and we expect to get a lot more.

The Rebels come into week 6 having already defeated last season's top two teams.  The team is too focused to have a letdown so the Tri-City Bulldogs better be ready for a battle.

Come out and support your undefeated Rebels!

Darkness is spreading! Rebels 4-0

A dark storm looms over the Wisconsin State Football League.  John Wagner, Josh Bardon, David Benton, Keith Woodson, Jared Martin and Rick Hartman are some of the driving force behind this storm.  There is plenty more where they came from.  The Rebel defense has been conistently dominant during the 2011 campaign to conquer the WSFL.  It is because of their destructive hits and intimidation that the Rebels are now the most feared team in the leauge.  The Rebels are 4-0 and have defeated both of the teams that played in the championship game last season.  The Rebel defense has given up just 27 points this season and itself scored 12 points (two interceptions returned for TDs).

Two Rebel WRs had the spotlight on them for week 5 and boy did both deliver.  Tyler "Who said he's soft?" Hau had two catches for 70 yards and 2 TDs and Calvin "He's still wide open" Thomas had three catches for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns.  QB Corey Roberson was 6 for 7 for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The WSFL has no games over Labor Day weekend.  The Rebels will be getting back to business on September 10th at home against the Tri-City Bulldogs.
