Rebels finish the season 11-1

The Rebels fell to the M&M Timberjacks in the WSFL Championship game 0-7 on November 12th.  I am going to pretend that I have class and congratulate the Tjacks on a great battle, game and season.  The Rebels go into the offseason (obviously) dissapointed.  Keep the players in your thoughts who will be recovering from injuries that were recieved during the season.

The offseason work starts now.

Championship Saturday Preview

Inertia is a fundamental force of this universe.  Briefly stated, inertia is resistance of an object to change its motion.  This can be described as momentum.  What if two opposing objects collided?  Which would win out?  Two teams will battle for the WSFL Championship on the gridiron of Ashwaubenon High School on Saturday to settle these very questions.

The first of these teams is the M&M Timberjacks.  They will be making their 4th straight appearence in the WSFL Championship game.  They are also the reigning Wisconsin State Football League Champions.  From 2008 to the present, the Tjacks have a record of 35-5.  This season, the Tjacks are 10-1 with their only loss coming from the Rebels in week 5 (34-15).

The Sheboygan County Rebels are looking to unseat the Timberjacks and claim the WSFL throne for themselves.  The Rebels are making their first apperance in the championship game since 2006.  From 2008 to the present, the Rebels have a record of 35-6.  This season, as many of you know, the Rebels are 11-0.  They have outscored their opponents 470-80.  This dominance has come from a combination of offensive explosions, crazy good special teams and a ridiculously talented and frightening Dark Side.

Come support your Rebels one more time and see them make WSFL history by becoming WSFL CHAMPIONS OF THE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD!

Playoffs - Round 2

Just like a submarine, the Mariners emerged victorious against a tough Kettle Moraine Titans team.  It was a defensive battle and the 13-6 score reflected that.  The 10-0 Sheboygan County Rebels are looking to depth charge (while avoiding the poop deck) the Mariners in Howards Grove this Saturday in the WSFL's 2nd round of playoffs.  The first time these two teams clashed the Rebels hulked their way to a 45-7 win.  With more at stake however, don't think for a second that the game will be a blowout again.

Speaking of "hulk", starting right guard Christopher Cox has been a perfect microcosm for the entire Rebel team this year.  Its obvious that a guy with the last name of "Cox" is just about the toughest person around.  Think of all of the childish name-calling that he had to endure growing up!  The Rebels are tough, just like Cox.  The Rebels have heart, just like Cox.  They are hungry, just like Cox and they are ready to pound just like... Chris (see what I did there?)

Come out and support your undefeated Rebels against the Manitowoc Mariners this Saturday, November 5th (the best day of the year) at 6:00pm.
