The Rebels had a cause against the Bulldogs Saturday night. The Rebels were ready for a switchblade knife fight type of game but instead won handily 42-0. If the teams were playing chicken by a seaside cliff it was the Bulldogs who blinked. Enough with the 'Rebel Without a Cause' references!
The Rebel offensive line was looking for a breakout game and they got just that. The Rebel backfield combined for 243 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. Paul Widder lead the Rebels in rushing with 123 yards and a score on 8 carries. 8 carries. 8 carries. Skyler Ebbers added 51 yards on 6 carries. When asked how he thought the game went, Chris Cox hulked out and smashed a truck in excitement.
The Rebel defense recorded their second goose egg of the season. The dark side continues to terrify opposing quarterbacks. They are relentless, they are unstoppable and I am glad I don't play against them. The Rebels have outscored their opponents 112-14 so far this season.

The Rebels have their Bye Week this weekend and will return to action on the 27th to face the hated M&M Timberjacks.
