Week 3 - Rumble in the Dells - Rebels vs Bulldogs

The 2-0 Rebels will take on the newest addition to the WSFL in the Tri-City Bulldogs (0-1) this Saturday at 6:00pm.  It will be like an old man taking on a newborn baby... no.  It'll be like a grown man fighting against a dog... that's dumb too.  It'll be like a grizzled veteran in a standoff with a wide eyed young gun at high noon in the wild west... I give up.

Speaking of grizzled veterans, the Rebel offensive line, lead by Jeff "Depends" DeBlaey, is looking for a break out game this week.  On most teams, the offensive line is a group of the most disgusting looking group of guys on the team.  It is the exact opposite for the Rebels.  This group of men is quite pleasing to the eye; almost to the level of Tyler Hau or Jamil Moore.

First, there is Tyler Courtright, the perfect right tackle.  He is one of the most aggressive linemen in the league.  Ask anyone who gets blocked until the whistle every single play of the game.  Next, at right guard is the real life version of the Hulk, Chris Cox.  When this Offensive Captain gets his hands on you, you might as well just go to the ground on your own to make things easier for you.  The other Captain on offense is the iron pectoral god himself, Jeff DeBlaey.  As the center he is the natural leader of the offensive line.  He also serves as a peace maker between the left and right sides of the oline when they have their flexing competitions.  At left guard there is Drew "I don't care if you outweigh me by a billion pounds I will still work you over" TenPas.  He never met a guy that he didn't think he could roll.  He is also probably the best conditioned guy on the oline with all of his half marathon running.  At left tackle is Mike Kruis.  Nobody cares about or likes him because he went to Cedar Grove- Belgium High School.  Newbie Kyle Heim is capable of playing anywhere on the offensive line when he isn't busy ripping the sleeves off of his shirts.  Adam Gilson (another rookie) fills in at both tackle positions when either Tyler or Mike need a break.

The Rebel rushing attack has averaged 4.5 yards per carry so far this season and the oline is looking to increase it.  They will get after the Bulldogs this Saturday at 6:00pm.  Come witness!
